Panda’s Posts #2 April 22, 2021
You’re back! I was just having a moment, mewsing about the possibility of having adoring fans cheering for moi: Panda! Panda! Panda! I have tentatively embraced my new identity as a LOGO star for the boss. Still working out the job perks; 24-7 snacks are high on the list!
I know! I know, it’s hard to believe that I, Panda Scrunch, famous logo after only a week, have a packed schedule: napping [did I mention I love napping], snacking, helping Truckey my brother, adventuring close to home [going just far enought to keep my unique -low-to-the-ground-self in shape],showing off my terrific, loveable purrrsonality to my Boss and her hubby by leg rubbing as often as paawsible, a little time with mom and my two sisters Marina Mow Mow and Elaina Sweetpea. Repeat weekly.
I forgot to tell you about Grandma Honey, Mom [Marina] and the other member of our family by association, Rory Neigh a small grey pony. She nickers her hello every time the door opens on the boss’s house and makes sure she is part of the action when any visitors come. All of us gather at Rory’s gate, sitting on the top fence rail or walking around her while she eats just to make sure she feels included.
Grandma Honey was a small calico cat and a superb hunter. She passed down all her wisdom to Mom who is the best cat mom ever! She took me and my siblings through cat school but kind of gave up on me with the grooming lessons, hence the direct-hit look, which I actually prefurrr! Saves a lot of time, because well, I’m so busy! My days are so full! What! You don’t believe me? Just check out my schedule!
FYI, in case you are ever looking for me, I have two favourite napping places and I see you went to the first one; right outside the boss’s front door on a rug she put down just for moi! Wasn’t that thoughtful? That way anyone coming out the door won’t get by without giving me a pat. Under the Caragana trees is the second-best place to catch a few rays because I can survey any visitors coming into the yard, just by opening my eyes. Why waste energy getting up to look? Can’t be too careful; have to conserve my strength, especially now that I am a LOGO star!
The boss says I need to stop mewsing and do my job.
So, here’s the update for today:
A Go-fund-Me is being planned for the end of June to raise money to cover the publishing costs for Tales of Spring Valley.
The boss has a company in mind and will give more details if, and when this is needed. Prizes and perks will be part of the plan for donors.
