Recipe for a Catastrophe!
1. Goal: to chow down on bird suet.
2. Ingredients needed:
Moi, a superb agile hunter.
Super bendy Caragana branch about 4" thick, 6 ' off the ground.
Netted bag of fatty suet hung for birds at end of bendy branch.
Metal suet holder hiding in branches.
3. Steps needed to reach goal:
Place paws carefully on bendy branch # 1 and confidently climb up and along.
Don't notice bendy branch #1 getting lower.
When almost at bag of suet, notice bendy branch #2, under branch #1 which you are on.
Moving to branch #2 will mean better access to suet because you will be underneath it.
Reach one paw to touch lower bendy branch #2.
4. Result:
As my awesome self shifts to branch #2, branch #1 boings up.
To my complete surprise, suet bag flips around like a torpedo and smacks me in the head.
I am knocked off balance.
I fall off branch #1.
One paw hangs by a single claw to bendy branch #2.
It releases me, I drop like a stone and a second metal suet holder is now thrown through the air and guess where it comes down? Of course, on my poor fuzzy head!
5. Observations:
Entire scenario took only a few seconds.
Totally humiliating.
Boss saw everything!
My reputation as a superb hunter is ruined!
6. Conclusion:
Humphhh! I knew there was a reason why I didn't like hunting!
